In May 2022, what is probably the largest airsoft event on European soil started in Mahlwinkel in East Germany. The airsoft heroes have invited people to the annual Dark Emergency Event. However, this time it wasn't a normal event, because there was a lot to celebrate, and believe it or not, 10 years of Dark Emergency in Mahlwinkel.
The airsoft heroes, led by Nick Ikonomidis, who the scene knows from various YouTube videos and of course from the Dark Emergency Event, have put together an airsoft festival in a class of its own. Never before have so many airsoft players come together to play in Germany or anywhere else in Europe. A more than worthy anniversary for the Dark Emergency Event.
This time we from Airsoftsports.de were there with an extra large sales stand. As a young shop in the airsoft scene, we wanted to show our colors and consciously draw attention to ourselves. The very positive feedback from the players showed us that this project was successful and very successful.
The players were able to pick up lots of merchandise such as patches, bracelets and cold energy drinks at our stand. – Of course it's all free.
All hell broke loose on the pitches, especially on the two main match days, Friday and Saturday. When up to 3000 players in 4 teams compete against each other, even on a huge playing field like Mahlwinkel it gets tight here and there. In the evening, the players told us about exciting house fights and long battles on a broad front. They were definitely having fun, you could tell.

In addition to the airsoft games, the visitors of the Dark Emergency Event come mainly because of the very entertaining supporting program. The big trade show full of dealers attracts with new products and special offers. Right next to our Airsoft Sports stand was the large organizing tent of the Airsoft Heroes. Here you could not only register to play, but you also got all sorts of information about the event, you could buy Airsoft BBs or one or the other merchandise product for the event.
Colleagues from Airsoft2Go and the Bad Agency were also there. The team from WSS Berlin and Magfed.de were also part of the circle of dealers. If you were a player looking for new equipment or spare parts, you found what you were looking for here.
A large selection of snack bars provided food on site. There was pizza, kebab, pasta, hamburgers and much more. Delicious and fresh coffee was also provided daily.
Our Airsoft Sports booth at night. – A whopping 15m wide, that was something to be proud of.
