The GL-06 was developed in response to a recent request from the police force of a leading European nation to provide a non-lethal weapon for anti-riot applications with the particular need for pinpoint accuracy at range (over 40m) when firing impact projectiles . The GL-06 is lighter and more compact than other standalone weapons of the same class (like the US M79 or the German HK 69), but offers high accuracy, tactical flexibility and good ergonomics. A special "Less Lethal" version of GL-06 is manufactured as LL-06. Although the LL-06 is a variation of the GL-06, the main difference is the color of the frame. Both weapons are capable of firing a full range of 40mm x 46 ammo.
The ASG B&T GL-06 is a fully licensed grenade launcher originally manufactured by Brügger & Thomet in Switzerland. The stock and receiver are made of polymer and the barrel is made of metal. All four side rails are metal. A quick detachable front handle completes the GL-06. The GL-06 launcher takes airsoft grenades of any length ( Not included!).
