Upgrading & tuning

Airsoft Tuning - More power for your airsoft gun!

The topic of tuning is still very popular in Airsoft. In order to tickle the maximum possible performance result from their airsoft gun, today's airsoft players invest a lot of time and money in performance-enhancing accessories. In any case, an airsoft tuning barrel or an airsoft tuning spring bring more power and performance and usually ensure that the gun shoots better than before in the production version. With us you will find a large selection of current tuning parts for almost all current airsoft gun models.

What should I consider when airsoft tuning?

Of course, safety comes first in airsoft sports. Therefore, please note that the installation of tuning parts can sometimes lead to the approval of your airsoft gun becoming void. In Germany, for example, there are certain limits for shooting performance. An airsoft gun from the age of 14 may only have a maximum projectile energy of 0.5 joules. An airsoft gun from the age of 18, however, already up to 7.5 joules. - As a rule, the maximum power that is played on the field in practice is 1-3 joules. Anyone who increases this performance beyond the permissible limits by installing tuning parts loses the approval of their airsoft gun and may commit a criminal offence.

The same applies, for example, to an Airsoft fully automatic conversion kit. Anyone who makes a fully automatic airsoft weapon on a semi-automatic airsoft weapon with more than 0.5 joules is also no longer within the legal framework. You should definitely observe these instructions before installing the Airsoft tuning parts.

But the most important hint comes at the end. By installing tuning parts, you consciously and arbitrarily make changes to the weapon. This voids any guarantee and warranty, as this only applies to the weapon in its original condition, as it was delivered.

Which airsoft tuning parts are there? - You can tune all that...

Below is a brief overview of the most common gymnastics parts in airsoft sports. Basically, almost every component on an airsoft gun can be replaced, reworked or improved. At this point we want to limit ourselves to the most important, most effective and, above all, the most popular tuning components.

The airsoft tuning run

A tuning barrel for airsoft guns is usually made of metal and is much more precisely manufactured and finely honed than the barrels that are installed as standard. A normal airsoft barrel is designed in such a way that all types of airsoft BBs can actually be fired with it. Anyone who buys a tuning barrel has usually been playing for a while and knows both their gun and the ammunition used. It is possible to adapt a tuning barrel almost exactly to the ammunition used. This makes the Airsoft gun more air-effective and efficient and also more accurate in the scattering on the target, since the bullets are always fired with approximately the same energy and speed.

The Airsoft HopUp System - What can it do?

The Airsoft HopUp system has been installed as standard in almost every Airsoft weapon for several years. It regulates the trajectory of the Airsoft BBs by creating resistance in the form of friction on the top of the ball when it is fired. This in turn creates a backspin effect (spin movement of the ball against the direction of flight) that pulls the ball up. This makes the trajectory very straight and the weapon shoots much further.

Airsoft Gearbox Tuning - What is possible?

The gearbox is the heart of every airsoft gun. It contains the motor and the control unit. Here you can exchange and tune almost everything, if you want to. Trigger, gears, pistons and seals are just a small part of the possibilities. Many providers of airsoft tuning parts now offer completely ready-to-install upgrade gearboxes for airsoft weapons . This is easier and usually much cheaper than replacing individual parts.

Looking for an airsoft tuning workshop?

Since airsoft tuning, as already explained in the text above, is usually not really permissible and also has to do with the guarantee, it is usually difficult to find an airsoft tuning workshop that can advise you beyond a certain level. For this reason, very few providers in Germany make installations or conversions. In the end, you will probably not be able to avoid doing your tuning yourself.
