When you talk about airsoft big games, festivals and major events, the name Dark Emergency inevitably comes up. The event of the well-known organization group Airsofthelden has continued to grow since it was founded in 2012 and is now one of the largest airsoft events in all of Europe. The Dark Emergency – The Airsoft Big Game Event is the undisputed number one in terms of size and number of participants. At the most successful events in recent years, over 2,500 participants were on site over one weekend. In the anniversary year 2022, the Dark Emergency Airsoft Event will celebrate its tenth anniversary. With a bit of luck, the number of visitors will set another record. Behind closed doors they are hoping for up to 3,000 visitors who will be spread over the 4 event days in May 2022. That would be a new visitor record for the whole of Europe and would bring even more prestige to the event.
The course of the event is the same year after year and is very clearly structured. This not only helps the organizers, but also the participants on site. Everyone knows months in advance when the day of arrival is, when is the best time for shopping in the trade show and when the games on the fields begin. The organization of the event is entirely in the hands of the airsoft heroes. This tight-knit team of ambitious airsoft players has been running the event since day one and has made it what it is today. Since the entire event lasts around four days, we recommend that you check your airsoft equipment thoroughly before the event and replace missing or defective equipment. Of course, there are also opportunities to shop locally, but especially with special products, you should not necessarily rely on the availability on site. Tuesday and Wednesday is arrival and setup for the dealers and the organizing team. From Wednesday lunchtime, the first premium ticket holders can set up on the site and their camping area. From Wednesday lunchtime to Thursday evening there is a lot of show programming on the large marketplace in the Tradeshow and there is also the opportunity to shop at the many local dealers. From Friday onwards, airsoft will be played all day long. This spectacle is repeated on Saturday. There is also an evening supporting program on both days. Sunday mornings are still open for games, and the games are slowly winding down here. From midday onwards, the players and teams, as well as the local dealers and the organization team, slowly start dismantling. In the afternoon the last people start their journey home.
The event site is located in Mahlwinkel, East Germany, in Saxony-Anhalt. From the motorway near Magdeburg or Stendal it takes about 30 minutes to reach the villages. Next to the village of Mahlwinkel, deep in the forest, lies an old Russian barracks town. The event area is located there. If you drive into Mahlwinkel, the event will already be clearly signposted there. So just follow the signs.
Registration takes place exclusively via the event organizer’s homepage. There you can secure a ticket in advance and book one or two upgrades for your stay if you wish. When you visit the event, all you need to do is state your name when registering and you will be given everything you need for the event. Then you can get started.
