APS Limited was founded in Hong Kong in 2001 and specializes in the development and manufacture of airsoft guns and accessories. APS Airsoft started developing the new GBox shooting system with CO2 BlowBack for standard AEG M4 housings in 2018. In just over four years, the product has been continually developed and provided with improved innovations. Thanks to these improvements, initial problems have been resolved to create an all-round reliable firing system. Based on APS Airsoft's internal testing, the GBox system can easily be used even in colder weather with 0 ~ 5 degrees. To increase the durability and performance of the firing system, the internal parts such as the hammer, firing pin, trigger and disconnector are made of sturdy steel.

The prerequisite for the development of the GBox was that the system could be installed in the existing APS Airsoft AEG housing. In addition, the selling price could be kept within the set limits, as up to 90% of the required parts of AEG rifles can also be used here. Only the actual GBox, the magazine, the hop-up unit and the inner and outer barrel are parts specially developed for this purpose. Of course, authentic functionality should not be missing, which is why the cocking lever, bolt catch lever and also the safety lever work true to the original. With the so-called X2 Xtreme Rifle, APS Airsoft is bringing a CO2BB system onto the market. It is a full size carbine in a modern M4 design. The rifle is equipped with strong recoil and the semi-automatic firing power is up to 1.6 joules.

Thanks to the CO2 blow-back firing system, the shutter moves back and forth when firing. In addition to a true-to-original look, this also results in the recoil, which is noticeably felt in the shooter's shoulder. In conjunction with the slightly metallic sound, the feeling of shooting is also increased.

To improve the hit pattern, the APS rifle is equipped with a metal hop-up system. This is located in the magazine well and can be adjusted there simply by pulling back the cocking lever and then locking it using the bolt catch lever with the included tool.

APS has developed its own CO2BB shooting system with the GBox. Therefore, only APS GBox M4 / M16 magazines or compatible magazines can be used with this rifle. According to APS, depending on the temperature, up to 60 rounds (two magazines) can be fired with a 12g CO2 capsule. Alternatively, the separately available airsoft gas magazines can also be used with the rifle.

12g CO2 capsules and 6mm BB round balls are required for operation. We recommend a BB weight of 0.30g - 0.36g.
