Daniel B. Wesson I, along with Horace Smith, co-founded Smith & Wesson in 1859. Daniel B. Wesson II (the great-grandson of the S&W founder) founded the company Dan Wesson Firearms in 1963. Karl Lewis developed the famous revolver in this factory, which was produced there from 1975 to 1989. The revolver was and still is particularly popular with sport shooters and hunters.
The world-famous and stylish Dan Wesson 715 double-action revolver is back on the market! This is surprising and exciting news, especially for revolver enthusiasts. Although it's "only" a full-metal airsoft replica, it's a highly precise replica of the original and features all the details found on the genuine DW 715.
Starting with the one-piece 4-inch outer barrel with decorative vent ribs on top, as well as the threads on the underside for mounting accessories and the perfectly reproduced Houge rubber grip with the DW logo. The forward-closing cylinder lock and cylinder rotation were also precisely copied from the original. An ingenious feature of the airsoft version is the tool key integrated into the grip for tightening the inserted 12g CO2 capsule. Unlike other airsoft revolvers, the key can no longer be lost on the DW 715.
Loading and firing the revolver couldn't be more authentic: The scope of delivery includes six loading cases, each of which holds a 6 mm BB. The loaded cases are then simply pushed into the cylinder like "real" cartridges. Also included is a speedloader, which simplifies and speeds up reloading. This allows the six loading cases to be loaded into the cylinder simultaneously. After firing, the cases can be ejected using the ejector rod, just like with original revolvers. The cases are reusable.
