The small caliber (Cal. 50) allows a significantly higher exit velocity of the projectiles within the framework of the 7.5 joule limit applicable in Germany. The exit velocity of the projectiles in the Delta Six Home Defense pistol is 280 FPS (feet per second) as standard. The bullets fly faster and are also more precise at medium distances than comparable Cal. 68 bullets. The effective range is 10-25 meters.
The DELTA SIX MPB-50 pistol is operated with commercially available 12g CO2 capsules. The CO2 capsule sits in the handle and is sufficient for around 6 magazine loads. To ensure that the CO2 capsule does not empty over time, the Delta Six MPB-50 has a so-called quick-start device at the lower end of the handle. Simply hitting the ground pierces the capsule inside the pressure chamber. Beforehand, the capsule is ready for use but completely sealed inside the pistol and is only activated when you really need it. This means that you can keep the MPB-50 in the cupboard for weeks or months, for example, and use it exactly when you need it. It is also ideal as a backup weapon in MagFed sports. Many backup weapons are only used in the field after a long time, if at all. The quick-start system ensures that the capsule in the handle always delivers fresh, full pressure exactly when it is needed.
The magazine of the DELTA SIX MPB-50 pistol is made of solid metal material and has a capacity of 7 round balls, normal paintballs, pepper balls or powder balls. The pistol comes with 2 of these 7-shot magazines.
