The fake bomb, shaped like a pack of dynamite sticks, simulates the actual planting of a bomb in the game. You can set the timer freely from 0:01 to 9:59. The countdown can be read on the display. A flashing LED also indicates that the bomb is armed. The countdown also counts down audibly with a beep, allowing players in the area to locate the bomb by sound and defuse it.

If the bomb isn't defused in time, steam will escape approximately five seconds before detonation, illuminated by a red LED. This allows the bomb to be visually detected, even at dusk or in the dark. The detonation is then simulated by an explosion sound. Several sounds are available to choose from.
