This airsoft rifle is a scale replica of the current T91 assault rifle, as developed by the Taiwanese Arsenal 205 in 2001. It is a further development of the T86 assault rifle to replace the T65. In addition to its visual resemblance to the proven US M16 rifle, the upper receiver is also compatible with the lower M16 receiver. The rifle has been in service with Taiwanese military units since 2003. Several other countries, such as Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, also use this rifle.
As with the other G&G Combat Machine rifles, the two-part main receiver of this airsoft replica is made of composite plastic. As already mentioned in the introduction, the GTW91 or T91 is visually very similar to the US M16 rifle. This is immediately apparent from the receiver components, which, thanks to G&G, fit together seamlessly. In addition to the visually clean manufacture of the plastic receiver components, the very cleanly cast T91 markings and inscriptions are also striking. This rifle also features a practical 21mm rail on the upper receiver. As delivered, this rail is equipped with a practical aluminum carrying handle and an integrated and laterally adjustable aiming sight. There are also two reticles.
Inside, a reliable G&G Reinforced Version 2 metal gearbox with an 8mm design works. This is, of course, the latest version, featuring sturdy 8mm metal bearings and a steel gear set with a standard torque ratio. This is powered by the proven G&G 18,000 rpm motor. The powerful torque of up to 1.4 joules as delivered is particularly impressive, making performance tuning virtually unnecessary.
