The PTS Enhanced Polymer Magazine AEG has been slightly revised for 2023. It retains all the features and technology of the original EPM.
Capacity: The EPM retains its 150-round capacity and legendary feed consistency and reliability.
Dupont Zytel Polymer Shell: This extremely tough polymer, which PTS uses in our Enhanced Polymer product line, allows the EPM to withstand significant field use and abuse.
Solid Orange Full Load Indicator: When the magazine is fully loaded, an orange follower will appear at the bottom of the translucent projectile window. This is a notable design feature unique to the EPM as it allows the end user to pick up any EPM magazine and know instantly if the magazine is fully loaded and ready for use. It also serves as a visual indicator for the user when to stop loading the magazine.
Angled Baseplate: The underside of the baseplate has been designed with an angled surface, allowing the end user to rest the weapon on any flat surface and have more surface contact for greater firing stability. The angled surface is minimized enough to be functional yet comfortable in the hand when pulled from pouches, nor will it interfere with closing the flaps of closed-top mag pouches. The front of the base plate has also been designed with a ribbed ledge that facilitates easier magazine removal from deep magazine pockets and can help the end user index the magazine correctly. The basic dot matrix pattern allows for customization and identification of the magazine.
Update 2023:
The angled base plate with angled surface is now made entirely of Dupont's Zytel polymer for even greater robustness. The baseplate is still compatible with the Magpul PMAG RANGER PLATE - GEN M2 MOE 5.56 real steel and original EPM rubber overmolded baseplate.
The front and rear EPM spines have been redesigned with our current design language with the EPM1 style ribs offering Magpul-Mag coupler compatibility and combined with the narrow structural stripe running the length of the EPM body for improved support and tactility.
