The PTS Enhanced Polymer Magazine AEG has been slightly revised for 2023. It retains all the features and technologies of the original EPM.
Capacity: The EPM retains its capacity of 150 shots and its legendary feeding consistency and reliability.
Dupont Zytel polymer shell: This extremely robust polymer, which PTS uses in our Enhanced Polymer product line, enables the EPM to withstand significant field use and abuse.
Bright orange full-load indicator: When the magazine is fully loaded, an orange indicator appears at the bottom of the transparent bullet window. This is a notable design feature unique to the EPM, as it allows the end user to pick up any EPM magazine and immediately know if it is fully loaded and ready to fire. It also serves as a visual indicator for when to stop loading the magazine.
Angled Baseplate: The underside of the baseplate features an angled surface, allowing the end user to rest the weapon on any flat surface and increasing surface contact for greater shooting stability. The angled surface is minimized to be functional yet comfortable to grip when drawn from pockets and does not interfere with the closing of magazine pouch flaps with a closed top. The front of the baseplate also features a ribbed strip, facilitating magazine removal from deep magazine pouches and aiding in proper magazine indexing. The base's dot matrix pattern allows for customization and magazine identification.
Update 2023:
The angled baseplate with its angled surface is now made entirely of DuPont's Zytel polymer for even greater durability. The baseplate remains compatible with the Magpul PMAG RANGER PLATE – GEN M2 MOE 5.56 made of real steel and the original EPM rubber-coated baseplate.
The front and rear EPM back has been redesigned with our current design language featuring EPM1-style ribs that offer compatibility with Magpul Mag couplers and, together with the narrow structural strip along the length of the EPM body, provide improved grip and tactility.
Attention: A speedloader is required to fill this magazine!
Mid-cap magazines require special preparation before first use. The necessary steps are:
- The magazine should not be fully loaded with BBs on first use.
- Before first use, the magazine should be oiled with silicone oil for better function.
- On first use, the magazine should be loaded with a few BBs and then emptied. After that, the magazine SHOULD be loaded with 10 more BBs than the first time and then emptied. This process should be repeated until the magazine is full.
- Remember: If the magazine is to be stored, it must be empty.
- Remember to regularly oil the magazine with silicone oil.
