The SDU chipset used in the eSilver Edge Gearbox has a unique feature that protects the gearbox from further damage when the electrical current is too high. To put it simply, the current/amperes increases when there is a malfunction in the gearbox. For example: defective motor, damaged gearbox or short circuit. If more than 5 trigger pulls are detected at more than 5 amps, the entire gearbox will shut down to prevent further damage. The user must disconnect and then reconnect the power to restart the Gearbox. We strongly recommend the user to check the interior immediately if any malfunction occurs.
The eSilver Edge Gearbox comes standard with a micro switch that works with the SDU to provide instant trigger response when firing. Based on testing, the switch response time is only 0.02 seconds and is designed for two hundred thousand operations. Thanks to the short-stroke design of the trigger, it is incredibly fast and you will not feel any trigger lag when firing.
The APS standard Silver Edge Gearbox has long been known for its durability. The APS eSilver Edge Gearbox continues to develop its strength, the electronic parts can be used at -20°C to 80°C and the mechanical parts at -40°C to 85°C. The gearbox housing is reinforced, it works up to M190 spring strength. The rear cables of the Gearbox have been braided with PET tubes, which provide additional protection for the cables. The eSilver Edge Gearbox comes standard with a fully geared steel piston, which also increases durability. The Gearbox is designed for two-handed operation. When it comes to the piston, APS uses a version complete with steel teeth, which is equipped with an aluminum piston head including ball bearings on the front. The steel spring guide is also equipped with a ball bearing so that the built-in spring can be compressed without tension. For a very good seal, the cylinder is made of stainless steel and has an aluminum cylinder head with a double O-ring construction in the front area. Of course, an aluminum nozzle with an internal O-ring should not be missing. The built-in components work together to ensure a very good seal with greatly increased reliability and durability.
