Daniel B. Wesson I was the founder of Smith & Wesson together with Horace Smith in 1859. Daniel B. Wesson II (the great-grandson of the S&W founder) founded the company Dan Wesson Firearms in 1963. Karl Lewis developed the famous revolver in this factory, which was produced there from 1975 to 1989. The revolver was and is particularly used by sport shooters and in hunting.
The world-famous and stylish Dan Wesson 715 double-action revolver is available on the market again! This is surprising and interesting news, especially for revolver lovers. It is "only" a full-metal airsoft replica, but it is a high-precision replica of the original and has all the details that are also present on the real DW 715.
Starting with the one-piece 6-inch outer barrel with decorative ventilation ribs on top and the threads on the underside for mounting accessories and the perfectly reproduced Houge rubber grip with DW logo. The forward-closing drum lock and the rotation of the drum were also copied exactly from the original. An ingenious feature of the airsoft version is the tool key integrated into the grip for tightening the inserted 12g CO2 capsule. In contrast to other airsoft revolvers, the key can no longer be lost on the DW 715.
Loading and firing the revolver couldn't be more authentic: The scope of delivery includes 6 loading cases, each of which is filled with a 6 mm BB. The loaded cases are then simply pushed into the drum like "real" cartridges. Also included is a speed loader, which makes reloading easier and faster. This loads the 6 loading cases into the drum at the same time. After firing, the cases can be pushed out using the ejector rod, just like with original revolvers. The cases can be used again and again.
